How do live shared lists work?
Open a list, tap share, and choose Live shared list. Hampy creates an invite link and code.
Send it to family — they open the link and join instantly. Edits sync in real time for everyone on the list.
Do guests need to pay?
No. Joining someone else's shared list is free. Only the person who hosts a live shared list needs Hampy Supporter.
How do I join with an invite link?
Tap the link you received (for example
hampy.aimoxyz.xyz/join?code=…). Hampy opens with the code ready —
confirm to join. You can also enter the code manually under Join shared list in the app.
How do push notifications work?
If you enable notifications in Hampy, you may get alerts when someone changes a shared list you're part of.
You can turn this off anytime in Settings or iOS system settings. Notifications are optional.
How do I create a new packing list?
Tap the + button on the home screen, type your destination or activity (e.g. "beach trip" or "Berlin"), and let Hampy suggest items. Add custom items anytime — or use voice input.
Can I use Hampy offline?
Yes for personal lists — they're stored on your device. Live shared lists need internet to sync. Weather suggestions also require a connection.
How do recurring lists work?
Open any list, tap the recurring icon, and set how often it should reset (daily, weekly, or monthly). Items stay; checkboxes reset on schedule.
Can I share a list as plain text?
Yes. Use the standard share action to send a formatted text version via WhatsApp, iMessage, or email — great when the other person doesn't need live sync.
How do I backup my lists?
Open Settings → Backup & Restore. You'll get a backup code — save it somewhere safe. Enter the same code on another device to restore personal lists.
